COLORPLUS

COLORPLUS® is produced by a unique, efficient process whereby rolled steel is continuously hot dipped into 55% Aluminium, 43.5% Zinc and 1.5% Silicon Alloy.

This patented coating protects the steel in two ways:

  • The Aluminium component of the coating provides a tough physical barrier between the external atmospheric conditions and the inner core of steel.
  • The Zinc in the coating protects the steel at cut edges.

Color that takes whatever the climate throws at it

COLORPLUS® has been developed as a premium product to endure South Africa’s harshest climates, ensuring your building will have a considerable increase in service life, superior thermal protection, added aesthetic value, cost-effectiveness, and eco-friendly credentials.

Innovative pigments used in the paint have been carefully selected to avoid rapid color change and retain a fresh appearance for many years. The technology used for this coating system also limits chalking. Particle resistance is an important factor with the growing increase in windborne contaminants and dust. Advances in pre-painted coating technology mean that our modified polyesters resist dirt, ensuring your building stays cleaner for longer. With its balance between cost and quality, UV resistance and corrosion resistance, hardness and flexibility, COLORPLUS® is redefining the pre-painted coated steel sector.

 MELAWOOD

MelaWood® is PG Bison’s leading brand of melamine faced board.

A special anti-bacterial additive is blended into a locally manufactured melamine resin, destroying bacteria, that may come to rest on the surface of the MelaWood®, within hours. This additional built-in protective layer makes MelaWood® Anti-Bacterial the perfect solution for hygiene-sensitive, high-traffic areas where cleanliness alone is insufficient, such as healthcare facilities, office spaces, schools, restaurants, retail and even at home for furniture and wall cladding.

How it’s made
MelaWood® is made by bonding melamine-impregnated décor paper to both surfaces of  top-quality board using heat and pressure. This one-shot process creates a closed, durable, scratch and moisture resistant surface that is easy to clean, durable and affordable.

BIRCH PLYWOOD

Birch plywood properties includehigh strength and stability, excellent screw-holding capacity, and a fine, smooth, even-grained surface suitable for finishing and decorative uses. It resists shrinkage, warping, and twisting, offering superior durability and moisture resistance compared to other woods like MDF. Birch plywood is also lightweight, easy to machine and finish, and possesses good shock resistance.

PAINT/WALLPAPER

Painted walls offer unlimited colour variety, and are easy to update by repainting. Wallpaper provides more visual depth with patterns and textures that paint cannot, can hide wall imperfections, and can be a long-lasting and durable solution, lasting potentially 10-15 years or more. The best choice depends on your budget, desired aesthetic, and room’s requirements, such as moisture or high-traffic needs.
